Ritual Dance

You are invited to step into a held space of shared movement and quiet attention. Take a moment to breathe, close your eyes and notice what is alive in your body; allow both the comfortable and the uncomfortable to move. In this Ritual Dance we follow music as an invitation to spontaneous, authentic movement — we dance barefoot, drink only water and use eye contact and body language to meet each other.

Tickets & registration
Places are limited so registration is required. The event works with a sliding scale (supporting/standard/supported); if finances are tight, contact the organisers to explore options. Tickets on the page are non-refundable and not transferable to a later date, though you may resell your ticket to someone else. What to expect
Ritual Dance brings us together in silence and in movement. From quiet we feel into ourselves, meet another with our eyes, and let the music carry us into free, improvised dance. Inspired by Ecstatic Dance and Ritual Play, the event creates a demarcated field of time and space in which you are invited to follow impulses in tune with others.

Location: Blaisant church (Blaisantkerk), Gent. After booking you will receive a follow-up mail with practical details; you can also ask questions via the event’s Facebook discussion. What to bring: comfortable clothes for dancing, a water bottle and your presence.
