The Relationship Lab
A fresh, radically honest way to connect with yourself and your partner

Guided by Veronique Van den Bossche and Robert Kosse

In everyday life, stress, old hurts and the ways we protect ourselves can quietly push partners apart. We may answer from a wounded place, speak sharply or withdraw, and later wish we had responded differently.

The Relationship Lab offers couples a monthly space to pause, leave daily distractions behind and meet one another again emotionally, physically and spiritually. With conscious bodywork, reflective practices and guided conversation, you can learn to work with triggers, create emotional safety and let your partnership become a place where you grow together. One couple, Jana and Tim, shared that the Lab helped them find again a connection they thought they had lost.

The four-month journey
You can come to any one workshop as a standalone date-night experience, or join the complete four-month journey.

Month 1: The foundations of a thriving connection
Building trust, safety and presence

Before lowering our defenses, it helps to have firm ground beneath us. This opening workshop explores the foundations of a resilient relationship: trust, respect, commitment and emotional safety.

You will look at the ways you protect yourself, how to stay grounded when things are difficult, and how to give and receive love in ways that feel genuinely nourishing. You will leave with practical ideas for more harmony in everyday life, meeting friction and strengthening your sense of being in it together.

Month 2: Beyond arguments, the power of words
Conscious communication and moving through conflict

Words can bring you closer or build a wall between you. In this workshop, you are invited to shift from reactive arguments towards conversations that are honest, compassionate and deeply attentive.

Explore active listening without defensiveness, share the needs and feelings beneath your words without blame, and find ways to loosen conflict while staying connected. Take home a shared language for difficult conversations, tools for working through disagreements, and the experience of feeling truly heard and understood.

Month 3: Intimacy in touch
Exploring boundaries, desire and somatic closeness

Physical closeness matters in a thriving partnership, and genuine intimacy is rooted in trust, consent and presence. This session offers conscious, non-sexual touch practices to help deepen your physical bond.

You will practise expressing boundaries and desires with ease, explore different ways of touching and cultivate a more present, embodied closeness with your partner. Bring home a renewed sense of physical connection, greater sensory awareness and fresh ways to invite warmth and affection into daily life.

Month 4: Dreams unlocked, reality reshaped
Supporting each person's goals and creating a shared future

How can you make a life together when your dreams, goals or pace are not the same? In this final workshop, explore how to support each other's growth, even when your partner's wishes stir something in you, and how to shape a vision for the future together.

You will unpack wishes, fantasies and life goals, meet fears or envy that can arise when your partner wants to grow, and practise encouraging one another. Leave with a shared path for the future, more alignment around individual goals and ways to champion each other's dreams.

What happens in each 1.5-hour session

  • Opening and setting intentions: Settle into the space, connect with your own intentions and those you share, and create a safe setting.
  • Experiential learning and theory: Receive brief, accessible context about relationship dynamics before moving into the practices.
  • Partner exercises: Take part in guided, hands-on activities such as touch practices, communication exercises and reflective dialogue. You work only with your own partner.
  • Closing room: End with a gentle integration practice, slow down, share a moment of closeness and get ready to return to everyday life feeling renewed.

Important to know
This is for couples, whether newly together or long-term, and close friends who want to develop emotional safety, intimacy and conscious connection. It is not for people seeking casual or dating encounters, couples in severe crisis or considering separation, or anyone unwilling to honour consent and personal boundaries.

This is a non-sexual event and there is no nudity. All practices take place only with your own partner, at a pace that feels comfortable to you.

Your facilitators
